For longevity, hormone, and peptide clinics

He heard about peptides on a podcast. He asked ChatGPT who prescribes them in his city.

A 46-year-old has spent three weeks listening to podcasts about testosterone, BPC-157, and semaglutide. His primary care doctor told him his labs were normal, so he is not asking there. He types "TRT clinic in Austin" into ChatGPT, then "who prescribes peptides in Austin," then asks what it should cost per month. The answer names two local clinics with published pricing and a telehealth brand with a national ad budget. If your clinic is not in that answer, someone else got the labs, the first month, and the membership.

TrustPractice runs 25 of those searches for your clinic across ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, then tells you whether you were named, which clinics and telehealth brands were named instead, and what on your site and listings is causing the gap.

What patients actually ask AI about longevity clinics

Almost nobody searches for a longevity clinic by that name. They search for the service they already decided they want: TRT, peptide therapy, semaglutide or tirzepatide, hormone replacement for perimenopause, NAD+ drips. They ask about monthly cost because insurance will not cover it, and they ask who prescribes because they have read that some peptides are hard to get. Men in their forties and fifties dominate the hormone queries. Women drive the perimenopause and GLP-1 queries and phrase them conversationally. These are drawn from the query set we run for longevity clinics:

  • TRT clinic in Austin, TX
  • peptide therapy in Austin, TX
  • semaglutide weight loss clinic in Austin, TX
  • hormone replacement therapy for women in Austin, TX
  • NAD+ IV therapy in Austin, TX
  • I'm 45, always tired, and want my testosterone checked in Austin, TX. Where should I go?

Why longevity clinics get left out of the answer

Longevity clinics get skipped because the platforms cannot tell what they actually prescribe, or cannot find a licensed name behind it.

  1. The site sells optimization and never names a protocol

The homepage says hormone optimization, cellular health, and peak performance. It does not say testosterone cypionate, sermorelin, semaglutide, or NAD+, and it does not state a monthly price or what the initial lab panel includes. A patient asking for a TRT clinic gets matched to the practice whose page says TRT, lists the labs, and quotes a per-month range. Vague language reads as a supplement shop to a language model.

  2. The Google listing says wellness center and the doctor is invisible

Most clinics in this category pick Wellness center or Medical spa as the Google Business Profile category, list a brand name with no physician, and put the medical director on a page with a stock photo. The platforms want a licensed prescriber they can name, a category that matches the query, and the same address on Healthgrades and the state board lookup. When the only prescriber they can find is the telehealth brand, that is who they recommend.

  3. Telehealth brands own the price and the peptide questions

Hone, TRT Nation, and the online GLP-1 brands publish per-month pricing, describe their lab process step by step, and explain which peptides they can and cannot ship after the compounding rule changes. Local clinics rarely address any of that in text. On "how much does TRT cost" and "doctor who prescribes peptides," the platforms cite whoever wrote the clearest paragraph, and in most cities that is a company with no office there.

What your score measures

Your grade comes from four factors, each measured against what the three platforms actually said about hormone, peptide, and weight loss providers in your city.

Discoverability

How many of the 25 queries returned your clinic. Local clinics tend to surface on the generic "longevity clinic" queries and disappear on the service and price queries, which is where the patient who is ready to pay is sitting.

Prominence

When you were named, were you first, or listed after a national telehealth brand and the endocrinology group across town? For hormone queries the platforms often rank a physician practice above a nurse practitioner clinic unless the clinic states its supervision model.

Accuracy

Whether the platforms have your services, prescribers, and pricing right. We see clinics described as IV bars when they run full hormone programs, a GLP-1 program listed as unavailable because the site still says shortage, and a medical director who left credited as the lead.

Sentiment

How the AI characterizes you. Descriptions in this category echo review language about whether labs were explained, whether the clinic pushed a membership on the first visit, and whether the provider felt like a doctor or a salesperson. We show the exact phrasing.

What the action plan looks like for a longevity clinic

Every full report ends with a prioritized action plan. For a longevity clinic it tends to include items like these:

🌐 Website·Web developer·~Half day

Write one text page per protocol with price, labs, and the prescriber's name

Create /services/testosterone-replacement-therapy, /services/peptide-therapy, /services/semaglutide, and /services/nad-iv-therapy as real pages, not a menu. Each should state the monthly price or range, what the initial panel tests, the compounds you use, and which prescriber signs the order. Put Austin in the H1 and say whether you see patients in office, by telehealth, or both.

✏️ Content·Marketing person·~1 hour

Put a licensed prescriber and a supervision model on the site

Add /our-team with the medical director's name, license type, and board certification, and the same for each NP or PA who prescribes. Write one plain sentence about how supervision works, and a short note on which pharmacy compounds for you. The platforms treat that page as the difference between a clinic and a website.

📋 Google Profile·You·~1 hour

Fix the Google category and match the directory listings

Set the Google Business Profile primary category to Medical clinic and add Men's health physician, Weight loss service, and Wellness center as secondaries. Then confirm Healthgrades, Zocdoc, and the A4M and IFM practitioner directories show the medical director under your clinic's name at the current address.

Illustrative. Your report's items are generated from the specific queries you missed and the specific errors the platforms made about your practice.

Questions longevity clinics ask us

Podcasts and social create the want, and then the patient has to find a prescriber in their city. A growing share of them do that with an AI, because it answers the price question and the "who actually prescribes this" question in one reply. If that reply names a telehealth brand and two competitors, the podcast did your marketing for someone else.

Only when the site does not explain the model. The platforms name NP-led hormone clinics regularly when the collaborating physician is named, the NP's license is stated, and the prescribing process is described in text. What loses the trust queries is silence.

Yes. If your site still says semaglutide is on shortage or lists a peptide you can no longer legally offer, the platforms may describe you as out of date or skip you on that query. If you explain plainly what you offer now and what changed, you tend to get named on the exact questions patients are asking.

It shows every provider the platforms named instead of you, including telehealth brands with no office in your city. In most markets the list mixes two or three local clinics, an endocrinology group, and one or two national brands. The verbatim quotes show why each was chosen, and the pattern is usually that the brand published a price and a process and the local clinic did not.
